Panelix - a match 3 puzzle game for the GBA.

Gameplay is inspired by the classic panel de pon (tetris attack), but with a twist. Blocks fall from the top of the screen. You can move blocks into existing combos to extend them. Higher combos score exponentially more points.

There are 4 modes to play

Marathon - Survive for as long as you can while the speed increases
Time Trial - Aim for the highest score in the allotted time
Sequencer - Spawn blocks at your own pace, match the indicated color
Puzzle - Clear the field in as few moves as possible

The graphics might not be as cute, but for pure gameplay, this is better than Tetris Attack. The extended combos mechanic really ups the fun

Thanks! Glad to hear you are enjoying it.

I haven't seen anyone discover this yet so I'm going to reveal a secret. Try the konami code on the splash screen:

↑ ↑ ↓ ↓ ← → ← → B A

Haha awesome!

Edit: Other things I'm enjoying - customisation unlocks, and a very nice version of Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence. This game deserves more attention!

For some reason this game doesn't boot on my Everdrive X5 Mini, anyone else have this issue?

It is very impressive for someone's first game on the platform.

Decent variety in terms of gameplay and the unlockables are fun to chase after too.

Maybe consider porting this to PC/steam or such?

Thank you.

Surprised how much fun this game was. Started playing and immediately got hooked. Awesome job!
